Schultz Family Electric meets all of them, with licensed professionals working under license number 748217 on every job we take. We treat each visit as the start of a lasting relationship instead of a quick sale, so you get honest recommendations and clear pricing rather than pressure to buy work you do not need. When you call our office, a real person answers, ready to talk through your questions and send a technician your way. We also waive the diagnostic fee once you hire us for the repair, which folds the cost of finding the problem directly into the fix. You will see every available option before we begin, so the final bill never holds a surprise. Each install we finish carries our lifetime craftsmanship warranty, a promise that reflects how firmly we stand behind our work. Because our crew is based in Angleton and serves Brazoria County and the surrounding area daily, we reach Fresno quickly and understand the wiring in both its established neighborhoods and its newer subdivisions. That familiarity lets us diagnose the real cause of a problem faster and restore your power sooner. From a flickering fixture to a failing panel, we bring the same care to every call and treat your home as if it were our own.

Our Electrical Service in Fresno, TX

Inside every home, the electrical panel quietly decides where power flows and shuts things down before an overload turns dangerous. Schultz Family Electric sizes each new panel in Fresno to the load your household actually pulls, leaving headroom for the appliances and additions still on your list. A surprising number of properties here continue to lean on 100 amp service, which buckles under central cooling, electric ranges, and the constant draw of a connected home. Upgrading to a 200 amp panel solves that strain, carrying heavier loads without the repeated trips that knock out power mid task. Warning signs deserve attention, so corrosion on the bus, a scorched breaker, a warm cover, or the scent of melted plastic should never sit unaddressed. Repairs in those cases mean replacing failed breakers, retightening loose lugs, and correcting an overloaded bus before any of it sparks. For garages, shops, and room additions, a subpanel adds the circuit capacity you need while sparing the main service from overload. Once the work wraps, you receive a clearly labeled directory, turning the guesswork of finding the right breaker into a five second task.

Behind your walls, the wiring quietly determines how safe your home really is, and aged conductors top the list of fire causes in older houses. Complete rewiring is something we handle for Fresno properties still carrying cloth insulated lines or aluminum branch circuits left over from earlier decades. Heat cycling causes aluminum to swell and shrink with every use, loosening terminations and breeding hot spots tucked behind switches and receptacles. Replacing it with copper conductors and properly rated terminations removes that hazard and brings the circuit back to a dependable state. Heavy appliances such as ranges, dryers, and built in microwaves perform better and trip less on dedicated circuits built to carry them alone. Air conditioning units, both window and central, demand their own dedicated line because the startup surge they pull overwhelms anything shared. Out in the garage, new receptacles, lighting, and tool circuits turn a bare slab into a usable workspace for projects and storage. Compliance is never optional, so each conductor we run satisfies the National Electrical Code alongside the rules Brazoria County enforces.

Daily plugging and unplugging wears outlets down until they loosen their grip, arc at the contacts, or stop delivering power altogether. Replacement and installation cover standard receptacles, and we verify polarity, grounding, and a firm connection on every one before moving on. Wherever moisture lingers, such as kitchens, bathrooms, garages, laundry rooms, and outdoor walls, GFCI outlets cut the circuit fast enough to prevent a shock. Code spells out exactly where that protection belongs, and we confirm your home satisfies the requirement in each spot it applies. Repeated breaker trips rarely mean a faulty breaker; far more often they reveal a deeper problem somewhere along the circuit. Installing fresh breakers and repairing panels where breakers refuse to seat or reset keeps the system doing its protective job. Grounding gives stray current a safe route to earth, which protects both your family and the sensitive electronics scattered through the house. Older systems frequently lack that safeguard, so we add ground rods, bonding jumpers, and grounding electrodes to bring them current.

Lighting shapes the mood of a room and the safety of every stairway, hallway, and entry once the sun drops below the horizon. Interior fixtures of all kinds fall within our scope, including recessed cans, track heads, pendants, wall sconces, and under cabinet strips. Cooling and comfort improve with a ceiling fan, though it only stays secure when mounted to a fan rated box built to bear the motion. Balancing each fan during installation keeps it spinning quietly and hanging firmly through years of steady use. Beyond the walls, outdoor fixtures lift curb appeal while keeping driveways, patios, and walkways visible deep into the night. Around Fresno homes, landscape lighting, security floodlights, and motion sensors discourage prowlers and light a clear path to the door. Energy savings follow a switch to LED, which trims wattage and heat while holding bright output for years with almost no upkeep. Control comes easy with dimmers and timers added throughout the house, putting mood, schedule, and the power bill in your hands.

Charging an electric vehicle overnight calls for a Level 2 unit, since a standard wall outlet simply cannot keep pace with daily mileage. We mount EV chargers on dedicated 240 volt circuits, matched to your vehicle and the spare capacity sitting inside your panel. When a storm drops utility power, a whole house generator keeps refrigerators, lights, well pumps, and air conditioning alive until the grid returns. Wiring the automatic transfer switch correctly lets the generator start on its own and power the home without dangerous backfeed onto the lines. Surge protection at the panel forms a barrier against the voltage spikes that travel utility wires during the storms this region sees. Spas bring their own rules, requiring a GFCI protected circuit and a weatherproof disconnect set a safe distance from the water. Pools and hot tubs also need bonding that ties every metal component together, removing the shock hazard around the water’s edge. Mistakes on any of these systems carry real danger, which is precisely why a licensed electrician belongs on the job.

Early warning saves lives in a fire, and that warning depends entirely on smoke detectors placed and powered the right way. Hardwired units with battery backup belong on every floor and inside each bedroom, and we install them exactly as the code directs. Larger homes and commercial buildings benefit from a fire alarm system that links every detector, sounding the alarm throughout the structure at once. Watching over entries, driveways, and yards becomes simple with security cameras streaming straight to your phone at any hour. Mounting the cameras, routing the cabling, and configuring the recorder ensures the system captures sharp footage and stores it reliably. Hidden hazards like overloaded circuits and failing connections surface during an electrical inspection long before they grow into an outage or fire. Our inspection covers the panel, wiring, outlets, and grounding, finishing with a written report you can read and act on. Throughout Fresno, buyers, sellers, and insurers lean on that documentation for assurance before they sign anything.

Convenience reaches a new level when lighting, thermostats, locks, and cameras all answer to a single app from wherever you happen to be. Smart switches, hubs, and panels make that possible, and we wire them so every device communicates and responds the way you expect. A home theater asks for clean power, concealed cabling, and outlets tucked neatly behind the screen and components for a finished look. Wiring the media wall and mounting your gear keeps everything running cool, organized, and blended into the room. Businesses across Fresno turn to us for lighting, panel work, tenant build outs, and inspection ready installations that keep their doors open. Scheduling around your hours means the shop, office, or restaurant stays productive while the electrical work moves forward. Trouble rarely respects a clock, so our emergency electrician answers when a panel sparks, the power vanishes, or a burning smell fills the house. Across all of it, Schultz Family Electric brings the same licensed care, fair pricing, and lifetime craftsmanship warranty that keeps Fresno calling us first.

Why Electrical Code Compliance Matters for Homeowners in Fresno

Fresno keeps growing, and new families are filling both fresh subdivisions and older established lots. Code compliance makes sure every one of those homes carries safe, properly sized wiring. The National Electrical Code dictates how panels, circuits, and outlets must be installed and protected. Newer Fresno homes often need added capacity for EV chargers, smart devices, and high draw appliances. Older properties, by contrast, may still rely on panels and wiring that were never meant for today’s electrical loads. When demand outpaces an old system, breakers trip and connections overheat. Permitting and inspection give homeowners a documented assurance that any upgrade was done correctly. The local climate brings heat and humidity that stress connections and call for solid grounding. Code compliant work also holds its value when it comes time to refinance or sell. We bring every Fresno project up to standard so growth never comes at the cost of safety.

“I had an excellent experience with this electrician from start to finish. Communication was prompt and professional, the work was completed on schedule, and the quality of craftsmanship was outstanding. They took the time to explain the process clearly, addressed all of my questions, and ensured everything was completed safely and up to code. The attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for my home truly stood out. I would confidently recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work. After a tree fell and took out the power line to our home, Brandon from Schultz Family Electric was at our house within the hour. After evaluating the damage, the news wasn’t great due to the age of our home, but Brandon immediately reassured us by saying, ‘Don’t worry. I got you.’ And he absolutely did. The entire housing setup needed to be upgraded, and he wasted no time getting started. He provided a precise and fair estimate, set us up with a generator for temporary power, and kept us informed every step of the way. Brandon and his coworker, Armando, completed the entire job in just one day. Their efficiency, professionalism, and dedication during such a stressful situation were truly exceptional. Brandon and Armando are genuinely good people: trustworthy, friendly, and honest. It’s rare to find contractors who combine such high-quality workmanship with integrity and compassion. I know I still have more projects to complete on my home, and Brandon will absolutely be the first person I call for any future electrical work.”

Would highly recommend! Brandon came to see us after hours the day we called to help us with our set up. We got a portable generator and had never owned any sort of generator before. He explained everything which we needed and any additional add-ons we might want for the future, but did not push us on ANYTHING. He showed us exactly the parts we needed on Amazon we could get ourselves to save a bit of money as well. Workers came out and were done in the span of 2 hours or so. They even did a little extra by routing the wiring so that the port outlet for the generator could be behind our fence as we asked for safety purposes. After all was done they showed us the steps on getting the generator running during outages and we did a test run so make sure all went well. They will also do maintenance and checks on your generator annually or bi-annually each year so to make sure all is well before hurricane season. Definitely will be my go to electrician.
