Clute homeowners deserve an electrician who shows up on time, listens to the actual problem, and fixes it correctly the first time without cutting corners. Schultz Family Electric delivers exactly that, with licensed professionals working under license number 748217 on every single job we take. We treat each visit as the beginning of a long relationship rather than a quick sale, which is why you get honest recommendations and clear pricing instead of pressure to buy services you do not need. When you call our office, a real person answers the phone, ready to walk you through your questions and get a technician headed your way. We also waive the diagnostic fee when you hire us to handle the repair, so the cost of figuring out the problem rolls right into the solution. You always see your full range of options before any work begins, which means no surprises waiting for you on the final bill. Every install we complete carries our lifetime craftsmanship warranty, and that promise reflects how seriously we stand behind the quality of our work. Because our team is based in nearby Angleton and serves Brazoria County every day, we reach Clute quickly and already understand the local grid and the older homes that fill these neighborhoods. That familiarity matters when an electrical issue threatens to derail your day, since it lets us diagnose the cause faster and get your power restored sooner. From a flickering light to a dead panel, we bring the same care and attention to every call, treating your home as if it were our own.

Our Electrical Service in Clute, TX

Your electrical panel sits at the center of your home’s power system, sending electricity to every circuit and standing as the first line of defense against overloads and shorts. Schultz Family Electric installs new panels in Clute that match your real electrical load, with extra room left for the appliances and additions you plan to add down the road. Many older homes here still run on 100 amp service, which strains under modern central air, electric ranges, and the long list of devices we plug in every day. We upgrade those tired systems to 200 amp panels that handle heavier draw safely and cut down on the nuisance trips that interrupt your day. When a panel shows scorch marks, rust on the bus, a warm cover, or a faint burning smell, that repair cannot wait. Our licensed electricians swap failing breakers, tighten loose lugs, and correct overloaded bus bars before a fault has any chance to start. We also install subpanels for garages, workshops, and additions that need their own circuit space without straining the main service. Every panel job ends with a clearly labeled circuit directory, so you always know which breaker controls which room when minutes matter.

Wiring carries every amp through your walls, so worn or damaged wiring ranks among the most common causes of house fires in older homes. Schultz Family Electric handles full home rewiring for older Clute properties that still run on cloth insulated wiring or aluminum branch circuits. Aluminum wiring from past decades expands and contracts with each use, loosening connections and creating hot spots behind outlets and switches. Our team replaces that aging wiring with copper conductors and proper terminations rated for the exact load they will carry every day. Dedicated circuits keep heavy appliances such as ranges, dryers, and microwaves from sharing one line and tripping it under load. We run dedicated circuits for window and central air conditioning units, which pull a high startup current that quickly overwhelms shared wiring. Garage wiring projects add outlets, lighting, and circuits for power tools, freezers, welders, and electric vehicle charging stations. Every wire we pull meets the National Electrical Code along with local Brazoria County rules, so your home passes inspection without trouble.

Outlets take daily abuse, and worn ones lose their grip on the plug, spark at the contacts, or quit working altogether. We install and replace standard outlets, then test each one for correct polarity, a solid ground, and a tight, lasting connection. GFCI outlets protect you from shock in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, laundry rooms, and any outdoor space exposed to rain or moisture. Code requires GFCI protection anywhere water and electricity sit close together, and we make certain your home meets that standard everywhere it applies. Circuit breakers trip to protect your wiring, so a breaker that trips again and again is almost always pointing to a deeper problem. Our electricians install new breakers and repair panels where breakers fail to seat, hold, or reset the way they were built to. Proper grounding gives stray current a safe path to follow and shields your sensitive electronics from sudden surges and damage. We add grounding electrodes, bonding jumpers, and ground rods to older systems that were built long before those rules took hold.

Good lighting changes how a room feels and how safely you move through it after dark, especially on stairs and in long hallways. We install interior lighting of every kind, from recessed cans and track heads to pendants, sconces, and under cabinet strips. Ceiling fans cool rooms and trim energy bills, yet they need a fan rated box to hang without working loose over the years. Our team mounts and balances ceiling fans so they run quiet, stay secure overhead, and move air the way they should. Outdoor lighting boosts curb appeal while keeping walkways, patios, and driveways visible and safe through the darkest hours of the night. We set up landscape fixtures, security floodlights, and motion sensors around Clute homes to discourage intruders and light the way home. Switching to LED fixtures lowers wattage and heat while keeping rooms bright for many years with very little maintenance. We can add dimmers and timers throughout the house, handing you control over mood, schedule, and your monthly power bill.

Electric vehicles need a Level 2 charger to refill the battery overnight, since a standard wall outlet charges far too slowly for daily driving. We install EV chargers on dedicated 240 volt circuits, sized to fit both your vehicle and the available capacity of your panel. Whole house generators keep the lights, refrigerator, well pump, and air conditioning running when summer storms knock out utility power. Our electricians wire the automatic transfer switch so the generator starts on its own and feeds your home safely without dangerous backfeed. Whole house surge protection at the panel guards every device from the voltage spikes that ride in on the utility line during storms. Hot tubs demand GFCI protected circuits and a weatherproof disconnect placed a safe distance from the water itself. We wire pools and spas to code with bonding that ties the metal parts together and prevents dangerous shock near the water. Each of these systems carries serious risk when installed wrong, which is exactly why a licensed electrician should always handle the work.

Smoke detectors give your first warning in a fire, so correct placement and steady power are the difference between a close call and a tragedy. We install hardwired smoke detectors with battery backup on every level of the home and inside each bedroom, just as code requires. Fire alarm systems for larger homes and businesses link every detector together, so a single trigger sounds the alarm throughout the building. Security cameras let you watch entries, driveways, and yards right from your phone at any hour of the day or night. We mount the cameras, run the cabling, and set up the recorder so the system captures clear footage and stores it reliably. An electrical inspection finds hidden hazards like overloaded circuits and failing connections before they ever turn into outages or fires. We check the panel, wiring, outlets, and grounding, then hand you a clear written report you can actually read and understand. Buyers, sellers, and insurers across Clute often rely on these inspections for documented peace of mind before they sign anything.

Smart home devices put lighting, thermostats, locks, and cameras under a single app, giving you control from anywhere you have a connection. We install and wire smart switches, hubs, and panels so each device talks to the others and responds the way you expect. Home theater setups need clean power, hidden cabling, and outlets placed neatly behind the screen and gear for a finished look. Our team wires media walls and mounts your equipment so it runs cool, stays organized, and disappears into the room. Commercial clients in Clute count on us for lighting, panel work, tenant build outs, and code ready installations that keep operations moving. We schedule around your business hours to keep your shop, office, or restaurant open and earning while we handle the work. Electrical emergencies do not wait for daylight, and our team does not make you wait until morning to get help. Call our emergency electrician any time a panel sparks, the power suddenly drops, or a burning smell drifts through the house.

Why Electrical Code Compliance Matters for Homeowners in Clute, TX

Clute sits close to heavy industry, and that proximity shapes how local homes are wired and protected. Code compliance gives every household a dependable safety floor that does not bend under demand. The National Electrical Code requires proper grounding, bonding, and overcurrent protection in each circuit. Many Clute homes were built decades ago, and their original wiring may no longer match current rules. Aluminum branch wiring and aging panels are common culprits behind loose connections and heat buildup. Strong storms roll through this part of the coast often, so surge protection and solid grounding really matter here. Permitted, inspected work proves that an upgrade was done right the first time. Skipping code can void insurance coverage and leave a homeowner exposed after a loss. It can also complicate any future sale when inspectors flag unpermitted changes. Keeping your Clute home to code is the simplest way to protect the people inside it.

“I had an excellent experience with this electrician from start to finish. Communication was prompt and professional, the work was completed on schedule, and the quality of craftsmanship was outstanding. They took the time to explain the process clearly, addressed all of my questions, and ensured everything was completed safely and up to code. The attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for my home truly stood out. I would confidently recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work. After a tree fell and took out the power line to our home, Brandon from Schultz Family Electric was at our house within the hour. After evaluating the damage, the news wasn’t great due to the age of our home, but Brandon immediately reassured us by saying, ‘Don’t worry. I got you.’ And he absolutely did. The entire housing setup needed to be upgraded, and he wasted no time getting started. He provided a precise and fair estimate, set us up with a generator for temporary power, and kept us informed every step of the way. Brandon and his coworker, Armando, completed the entire job in just one day. Their efficiency, professionalism, and dedication during such a stressful situation were truly exceptional. Brandon and Armando are genuinely good people: trustworthy, friendly, and honest. It’s rare to find contractors who combine such high-quality workmanship with integrity and compassion. I know I still have more projects to complete on my home, and Brandon will absolutely be the first person I call for any future electrical work.”

Would highly recommend! Brandon came to see us after hours the day we called to help us with our set up. We got a portable generator and had never owned any sort of generator before. He explained everything which we needed and any additional add-ons we might want for the future, but did not push us on ANYTHING. He showed us exactly the parts we needed on Amazon we could get ourselves to save a bit of money as well. Workers came out and were done in the span of 2 hours or so. They even did a little extra by routing the wiring so that the port outlet for the generator could be behind our fence as we asked for safety purposes. After all was done they showed us the steps on getting the generator running during outages and we did a test run so make sure all went well. They will also do maintenance and checks on your generator annually or bi-annually each year so to make sure all is well before hurricane season. Definitely will be my go to electrician.
